Bonus Break

This is going to be a quick update because nothing wild happened today. I woke, had a fantastic shower and made a coffee before settling into the helm to start work. I had another messed up sleep at night so I was in a bit of a haze this morning but it was a good, relaxed almost trance like haze. I felt really good about stuff. There wasn’t anything that I was desperately trying to get done. I had summer hours looming up at me from 1pm onwards. They were well earned this week since I worked at least an extra hour for the rest of the days of the week. My plan for the four hours of time was to do nothing. That is exactly what I did. I watched some YouTube videos, had a great lunch of soup and the last pizza buns, I played my cards. It was a nice relaxing afternoon. I ordered my chicky bites for dinner and polished those off hard before firing up the Wire again. I tried to get my parents into it but it never took so I finished the episode we’d started then kept on trucking. I was halfway through the first season before I realized what was going on. I went up to bed ahead of ten bells with intentions of catching up on sleep but that didn’t happen. Instead I got pulled down into a wormhole of carpool kareoke videos until midnight. That is going to ruin my search optimization but it was mindless joy. I think I finally fell asleep around high noon. I’ve included a photo of a painting I bought when I was out shopping with my parents last week. It feels like it is probably the Scottish Highlands but maybe it’s Ireland. Either way I find it beautiful and it definitely spoke to me. Mother says that art has to speak to you or it isn’t worth buying. I’ll have to figure out a place to hang this one. It needs to be up and enjoyed. I’m learning towards the basement over the spare bedroom.
