Abrupt Ending

Early to bed, early to rise is the old adage, but what is considered early for rising? I presume that 2:37am would be considered early. I sure as heck consider it early, way too early. That is when my brain powered on today. Usually these kinds of things are omens of a terrible day to come, mostly from the lack of sleep. Luckily I was able to get back to sleep around half past four, making the early to bed aspect much more valuable. Oddly, it was a half glass of water that I eventually had that seemed to be the factor that enabled me to rest easy again, to quiet my mind. More conscious effort was required to complete tasks for the first part of the day. It zipped by as an unstructured pile of completed small tasks. Noon came quick and with only a coffee inside me for sustenance I was ready to eat. I ended up with a salad and some pizza buns. Both are starting to turn.

The afternoon was packed with meeting which I believe went well. Issues were advanced to the next stages and teams are happy with the progress. I had a last call with our NA Product Management team that was more information than participation so a nice coast into the evening. Dinner was soup and Stouffer’s bistro box. I continued answering work emails into the evening which is now uncharacteristic of me but it led me to Microsoft Solitaire Collection. That led me to posting Week 7 of the Space Bucket project over in the Archives. Then back to cards. But abruptly the modem gave up and internet access ceased. This was around nine bells so I just crawled into bed and gave up on the world. I awoke at quarter past eleven and frolicked in bed until almost one. Again it was the small glass of water that appeared to end the gap in rest. That will be the first step next time. So weird.
