Spinning Wheels

I worked hard and was busy all day long but when I stepped back and looked at the path that I had walked I can’t see I feel much pride in my accomplishments. It was one of those days that rips by and I’m not sure what I did. I answered some questions, made some changes to things, advanced a couple of issues but I’m not feeling any wins. I’m going to call it a process day. The IT woes dragged on, I reached out to our local person to no avail. I will have to call the black hole of a helpline tomorrow. I setup a time for another issue. I just wish all my stuff would work. There a couple of projects I’m holding back on because I can’t open files easily. I was for sure taking for granted being able to open more than one Excel file at a time. But enough about the negative aspects of the day. Let’s dig for some silver lining material. Not exactly rosy but it appears as if I’ll be doing a lot less travel this fall. Manitoba has a two week isolation requirement for travelers outside of Western Canada. That changes my plans dramatically. Obviously not going to America either so things will be quieter this fall. Outside of work I didn’t do much either, likely why I’m going back to that well. I had a weird dinner, finished the last burnt porkchop off, took down a pizza bun and yogurt. A couple hours later I was still hungry and a little bored so I poured some cereal. To jazz it up I sprinkled a few small marshmallows in there too. That was a winning combination. I crawled into bed shortly after nine bells and was out before ten.
