Final Vacation Push
The rain departed finally and gave me one more shot to get some vacation time in, and I was fixing to make the most of it. I started my day off with some fishing at the end of the marina as per usual. In a fun twist, Theodore Complete was getting some Timmy’s and happened to see me turning in. He swung in since he had his fishing stuff still in the truck from the last adventure. We casted away for an hour to no avail. He lost a couple lures but I didn’t for once but we had a good time before he had to go to work. When the fishing wrapped up I flipped over to the Mayor’s place to help him launch his boat. We went over it and ensured he had everything in place and ready.
The goal was to have it looking the same at the end of the day but at his slip in the marina after running a series of tests to ensure that it was fully operational. After fueling it at the gas station we smoothly eased it down into the murky waters of the lake. It started with minor difficulties and we were off. We ran it at various speeds, we did some fishing, tested the electronics and ran the other motors to make sure everything was operational before docking it and covering it in his slip. It was a very successful morning spent out on the lake.
After we realized that there were no fish in the lake and everything was operational in the boat it was time for the next chapter. The Big T had also taken the day off to work so it was time to check on his progress. The progress was good. They got everything done in their plan and then some. As a nice send-off treat they decided to order pizza. Being a sucker for commercials, they ordered the triple treat box from Pizza Hut. It’s been a long time since I’ve dealt with them. Overall the meal was solid. It was very filling, we could t finish two medium pizzas amongst the three of us.
After we had a nice sit down dinner it was back to work for the T. I had a different idea on how to burn a couple calories off. As you will recall, I shot a rack of pool earlier in the week and thought it would cute to shoot another as the week progressed. I shot one on Wednesday evening after the turkey dinner and it didn’t go very well, much worse than the initial effort and I was scared that it was beginner’s luck or something.
I wasn’t satisfied with this effort and felt like it was necessary that I try it again so I used this last evening with my table to put up another attempt. Things started shakey but I pulled it together to shoot my best rack yet. It wasn’t perfect and not close to where I was when I played on that table for an hour a day but it was nice to be able to finish strong.
I spent the remainder of the evening editing the two videos into existence so I could post them together on this day. Hopefully you have a gander at the two to compare. I tried to keep the angles more consistent as per a suggestion from She. It’s less fun but it does make it easier to follow the match.
That is the end of the week and nearly the end of the vacation.
