Quick Computer Update — The Tugboat

So, my machine is still down. I spent considerable time during my recent week off trying to ferry it back and forth to the repair shop. We have all the hardware issues sorted out. The power source failed, fair enough, it was over ten years old and there was a black mark on one of the cores, the power button on the case failed and I had to buy a whole new case, annnnd finally there was some chipped corner problem with the HDMI port on the graphics card. I only paid for the case, the new power source, the diagnostic and the re-build (they dismantle for diagnostic) and it still cost me almost $300 CAD. So after spending that loaf of cash you'd think I'd be walking out with a fully functionally slaughterhouse of a machine. Nope! It won't even boot. Somehow during this whole process, the machine is trying to boot off of some non-existent drive. I think the computer whiz kids renamed something and now it's all messed up. Ronny Ronks and I took a run at it last week and couldn't get it. He's got my Windows DVD still so we were unable to complete the process. So the moral of the story is, I don't have a reliable machine to post or podcast with at the moment. The blue beast is dead, the black beauty is trying to rise from the ashes. We'll see where we get to. But to keep you enticed, I've decided to put a few bullets of things that happened that maybe I'll be able to expound upon later:
