Hiatus Winding Down

Cheese and I are starting to wind down our summer hiatus. We're ready to have a couple of Conversations. I'm quite certain they are going to be humdingers. So we have that coming over the horizon. I'm going to try and at least get back to weekly Musings. I'm still torn about this as I know for a fact that I'm the only visitor to the site on a regular basis. I believe there are some folks who stop by once in a while but for the most part I'm the king around these parts. But that, much like the Conversations hinges partly on me getting my computer up and running. I met up with Ronny Ronks over the weekend and he took the machine into his home like a wayward child to show it love and compassion and hopefully get it back to a normal function. Basically my computer is in rehab. If that's the case, then when it went to the computer shop, that would be considered it having an intervention. Did I mention I watched an Intervention marathon on A&E last week? Either way, if Ronny is able to revive my junkie machine then I'm hoping I can re-establish some semblance of a routine or at least forced posting.

Switching gears to something you haven't heard before, over this past weekend, we had a small gathering of me mates from grad school. The Duffman made the original request and Grange picked up the baton and ran with it. Brucey was there, the Argentinian, and the bitter Leprechaun too. We golfed at Springfield in Guelph and returned to dine chez La Grange. It was a lovely evening of drinking and laughing on the patio. It was great to catch up with those folks, see how they were different but also how they were the same. It had been over five years since I saw some of them, despite them living not far away. Brucey is married! To a really great girl I'm told (not by him specifically). Some things were quite different in that respect. I won't sit here and lament but it was a lovely time. When was the last time you re-united with an old friend?
