Corn Tour Day 6
This one was another day that was light on corn and heavy on other things. I left the estate-manor pretty early on and made my way to the closest town for another McBreakfast. I had only one stop to make before beginning my afternoon, personal adventure. I was back into maturities that I had created so I was easily able to use my mobile tools to find the location and walk through the site. I probably could have skipped breakfast due to the large number of cobwebs that I inadvertently devoured. That was all I needed to cover in terms of corn for the day.
I made my way over to VanKleek Hill for the annual Beau's All Natural Brewing Oktoberfest festivities. I called my contacts and was able to meet up with Chef Brown while letting She and the Beer Guy that I had arrived. I got a ticket and School of Bock pass and was directed to some decent parking a short walk from the venue. After changing my clothes in a high school parking lot, I made my way over. Initially, there was supposed to be many people I knew roaming around the party. One by one, leading up to the event they disappeared. Instead of a group of nine, I was again left mostly on my own. The people I knew there were working the site or I didn't have any means of communicating with them. I bought some tokens and sampled some of the food festival's wares whilst walking around taking in the sights and the sounds. Oddly enough, as the day neared it's end and the sun descended, I did run into my cousin and her husband. Pretty neat that in that massive throng of people I run into the only ones I know, again, same as last year. So we had a visit and some laughs before parting ways. She had to go back for an event but Chef Brown was staying over in town. Beer Guy and I had made arrangements to be the first people to ever sleep on the site. We opted instead to sleep on the apartment floor of some of his co-workers. There were some Tales of the Tugboat that kept them awake longer than they wanted but before the sound of the two bells clanged, we were all asleep.
