Corn Tour Day 5
This one is sort of a misnomer as I didn't see much corn. This was more of a transition day from West to East. I spent the morning at my research farm catching up with my technician. Together we ensured that everything that was needing to be covered off was getting done and made his plan of attack for the next week. I was able to catch up on email and admin stuff that was stockpiling during the four days that I was ignoring it all. Unannounced and certainly unprovoked, one of the Ontario agronomists brought a group of growers to the farm so I did tour them through some corn before loading up and heading East on the big highway. I spent the rest of the day travelling to the estate of Admiral Bonesaw and Dutchie. It wasn't particularly exciting. I ate up more of My Dad Wrote a Porno and spent some time chatting with folks on the phone. There were numerous traffic snarls, as usual, which slowed me down considerably. We had a nice dinner of home-made pizza and not long after I tucked in for the night. I was needing a good sleep to make up for the lack of the previous night and the pending adventure.
