Weekend Rundown
So what all happened on the weekend. Well, there was nothing, then some more nothing and I finished it up with nothing. Now I bring that news to you but I have to admit that my perspective might be skewed slightly after such an active week. I did manage to clear my PVR, do all the laundry and not get groceries. So it was a decent run or production. I did a minor workout with the push-ups and the sit-ups. I believe that is known as calisthenics. It was pretty minor, I barely broke a sweat and didn't even bother changing my clothes for it. I settled back into old bad habits almost immediately. I blame that initial meal back in Canada for that. When I DQ'd something different. While it was different in the immediate sense, it was more usual that I'd care to believe. So that was most of the weekend. I'm not even sure what kind of mind numbing hi-jinx I got into Saturday. I know I watched part of the Leaf game while flipping back to a film I had never seen previously. I don't recall which one but I know, at the time, I felt like it was really important to get through. So I stayed the course and went to bed at ten on the dot. Then I neglected to remember about the time change. We sprung ahead. Is that what they mean when they say that spring has sprung? That is a visually weird word to look at, sprung. I don't know why. It has a semi perverse feeling to it too when you say it over and over again as I am currently. Silly little word that one. Anyways, so I slept in on Sunday which is why I didn't get to my groceries. I made a hearty breakfast all the same though. And then proceeded to continue the nothingness of Saturday. It was a full mental reboot. I think there was a long spell of NHL '15 that took place. I started wondering later if that was indicative of anything. Maybe that is my go to for boredom or for stress. I was doing a good job of pretending I didn't have a mountain of stuff to tackle when I started working again on Monday. I never even turned on a computer all weekend. I just stuck to tablets for my internetting needs. What an age we live in. I culminated my weekend by watching the new Walking Dead episode and accompanying talk show. It was pretty good. That show never ceases to amaze. It's gritty and intense and they drift far enough off the books that I have no idea what is going to happen. I can only speak to the broad strokes. There is a disclaimer at the start about intense and graphic imagery, they aren't kidding. So that was a quick recap of the weekend happenings.
