The Third Day

My third day in the nation's capital started like the others. Up early, morning routine satisfied. Ready to get after it. The last half of my contribution to the meeting was slated for the afternoon and I was going to have to rely on my team to help fill in the details. I was a little nervous not having all the answers but really never should have all the answers. I'm not a dictator. So I ventured to Green Rebel. This is a small little restaurant that boasts to have healthy and fresh options. I'm sure the prices are fair but I still haven't wrapped my mind around why stuff costs more in a downtown core of a city. I realize that rent etc is more costly and they can charge more due to being in a busy spot but anyways, it was $11 for a smoothie and a simple breakfast samidge on a bagel. Both were delicious so I am not complaining about it. We had a favourable interaction on Twitter in fact. I went from there to the meeting and it went rather smooth. A few little clashes on some topics but everyone arrived for dinner with smiles. We had a fairly long walk to dinner this evening, to the Market. We ate at a newer brewpub that featured 1800's cuisine and their own beer. It was an enjoyable experience. We again returned to the establishment of the previous night for a night cap. The quantity of the meal and the long walk reduced the time we spent at that endeavour. Likely the fact that we'd been sequestered for two days in a small space made further interaction less necessary. Sleep followed. There is only a half day of issues to cover off remaining in the meeting portion of this adventure.
