The Fourth Day

The fourth day was the final day for work related activity. It was truly a half day of meetings and then a half day of reorientation. This time it was mental and physical. In that I traveled to a new destination and then also changed mind-frames from super detail oriented planner to just enjoy the moment. The morning went by quickly and we had a nice lunch of great burgers and fries. If I'm even partly my father's son I'd have to direct the narrative by what was consumed. You may have noticed this trend in my China Memoirs. It's really more that eating is important in my family and meals act as markers of time. A day is really measured by the three meals you ate, not by the hours you were awake. So after doing some research I mapped a quick way through the tangle of defences of the downtown grid. I made it out faster than expected and set sail on the open road. I ended up at Beau's All Natural Brewing ahead of schedule and had to wait in the truck. There were several phone calls and the transition out of work was complete. I was waiting on the Beer Guy to wrap up and meeting and also for Cheese and Two Glasses of Wine to arrive from their long journey. When those conditions were met, we had a private tour of the brewery. It was neat to see the entire process and the potential options they have. We were also incredibly intrigued by the sample cocks. It was referenced every chance we had. We sampled some beer and perused the gift area while Beer Guy concluded his business. A convoy of the willing ensued as we traversed the path back to the dwelling of the Beer Guy. A delicious repast awaited us, one punctuated with pizza and beer. We gathered together to play an adult board game before the night found us weary. A strong sleep was all that remained of the fourth day from then on.
