Winterlude Weekend

On the weekend we went to Winterlude! I had to post this retroactively with very blurry and poorly combined videos. That is the issue of working with Apple products and still trying to limp along with Windows Vista. It's not compatible! So the recap that you're craving? Well, Friday night Cheese, Two Glasses of Wine and the Tugboat arrived at the home of the Beer Guy and his wife who doesn't have a proper name for this site so I will temporarily refer to her as France, not the country, but the French given name, even though she's not French by birth. Pronounce it more like Frawnce. That oughta work for ya. So anyways, Frawnce had a great spread for us, as I alluded to in a previous post. The missing segment of time is really the Saturday/Sunday portion. I might have drawn out the details from the return trip home, I don't remember or care. So Saturday, we went to the canal and they skated. The Tugboat went to a Mexican Grill and got a beer and a snack. Unwittingly garnering a receipt that would alleviate paying for parking. After the skate was over, we headed across the border to enjoy Winterlude! This is an annual Ottawa/Gatineau festival celebrating winter. The video below captures some of the fun from that experience, I should mention that some of the first stills are from my adventures previously in the week. The real fun starts when you see the igloo. But I won't go into detail, but will let you enjoy the visuals!

Not much happened after our experience. There was a huge meal set out again by Frawnce and Beer Guy and we shared beers and laughs well into the evening. The next morning we awoke and prepared for departure. But before we set sail for the Western reaches we met up with Admiral Bonesaw and Dutchie who had returned late the previous night. We had brunch at the Red Dot Cafe in Osbourne with Cheese, Beer Guy, Frawnce, Two Glasses of Wine, Admiral Bonesaw, Dutchie and the Tugboat. Quite a guest list if I do say so. After settling the tab we went our separate ways. Mine was back the Harbour with only two urinary stops. The rest of the adventure is recorded in the "tomorrow's" post. I hope you enjoyed it! Happy Birthday Big T!!!
