Thor's Day Indepth

So yesterday happened. It was a good day. I had a lunch meeting in town. I had several calls as well. Everything seems to be good news this week. I'm still missing a few huge nuggets of that though, work wise. If and once those fall into place things will feel much smoother. For now it's one small win to one small win. I'm not excited though, I've been numb to it so far. I guess nothing overwhelming has happened and I haven't seen the outright results yet, just the "promise" of good things. I did what I could yesterday to really just prepare myself for today, Friday. Or Freya's day. Didn't know some of the days of the week were based on the Norse Gods did you? For those of you that resolved to learn something new each day in 2016, you're welcome. Although I think pop culture beat me to it in the movie version of Thor. Anyways, the preparation is for the long drive to the North-lands. I have to attend my aunt's funeral. My Mom played it off initially, saying it was a long drive and all this stuff but I saw that as one of those traps that women set from time to time. She wanted me to go, so I will go. It's family. So I've been taking small steps to prepare. I've cleared my schedule, I was supposed to be at a conference tomorrow but found someone else to attend in my place. I had other plans that were delayed. I'm ready to go. I haven't been sleeping great all week. Probably because I shattered my sleep patterns when I stayed up to finish that awesome book, the Never Hero. Sorry, I couldn't put it down. So I made sure to tire myself out with exercise and an early dinner to ensure a good rest. I managed to get over eight hours of restful sleep. It was a strong re-charge of the batteries. You need it for that grueling drive. Especially in winter. Thank those above for clear weather on the forecast, although I'd prefer if it was colder. Yes, that's right. People keep looking at me funny when I say that. They don't realize that when it's that cold there is less chance of clouds and snow. A cold, crisp day with a blue sky and weak sun is always better than a slushy, precipitous day. You can take that to the bank! I'll stop my disjointed ramble there, GRP, I'll try and see you tomorrow!
