Enlightening Lightening

Yesterday was a big day. Besides the all important Grizz match-up, Ol' Tugboat had a pretty long day. Left the Harbour at six and a half bells to travel to the heart of the Royal City. Spent the day at the old job palace. I had my annual performance review, where we reviewed my last year of effort. Average again. Disappointing but all signs point to moving the needle in the right direction. No major complaints. Some feedback on areas to work harder in. That sort of stuff. I'll be striving to address those development opportunities throughout the coming annum. That was only half the battle though. After the work part of the day was put in the grave I ventured out to tangle with Pubmaster and She-She. It has been months since we three collaborated on some good times so I was excited to see them. We met at a local hipster parlour to eat some foodie type of fare. Something Binky would absolutely love. I figured, when in Rome and ordered the Umami burger. The forgotten taste. The meal itself was tasty, just right for the price. Teetering on too expensive which is a little found sweet spot. So dinner was done, they paid, tip of the cap for that. I suppose I'll have to get the next one. Anyways, apres dinner started the next chapter of the evening. I went to GRP's mother's place of business to make some gift purchases before returning to the old Harbour to have a visit. That is when I was rewarded with my long awaited, hand delivered birthday gift.

This was my birthday gift from Pubmaster and She-She. Visit BohemianSpirits.com for details.

I was admittedly a little miffed and confused initially. I saw vodka and thought, "dude, I don't really drink vodka." But then it started to sink and take hold. This was a bottle distilled by my old friend the Bohemian Spirit! His ghostly hands had crafted this fine libation in the flesh. It is really cool to have a friend who follows his dreams but to have those dreams lead him to open his own fresh and cool distillery? Amazing. So I finally get to taste his wares after some hype. If you haven't heard of this for now only in the West product, check out BohemianSpirits.com for more information. I am quite satisfied with my gift. We continued to visit, laugh, and exuberate until I had to leave for home, not entirely my idea. It was very enjoyable evening, hopefully more to come.
