Star Wars Day
The day started strong for me. I woke up peacefully and naturally just ahead of half six. This gave me lots of time to get showered and prepare a strong breakfast. I was dressed and in the kitchen ahead of seven for the first time in a long while. Breakfast was my usual fare but it had been several days, nearly a week since I’d had the opportunity to make it. I had enough time before I needed to start work that I was able to sweep the floors on the main level, water my plants and folded and stowed the laundry I started on Saturday. I was in my chair by eight and a tarted getting after it at work, looking for big push to get the rest of the stuff out the door ASAP. I lit a few fires, I suspect people are tired of dealing with me and that might be their inspiration. The morning was a mix of clearing tasks off my list while working with the team to get seed ready to move and meetings. I had three across the morning. One of the meetings featured this Dutchie lookalike. It’s similar to her but not exact, even the sweater and furnishings in the background were her style. I found it amusing.
Sorry for the pixelation, this is a cropped copy of a copy.
The first half of the day disappeared quickly. I was able to have a short lunch. It was a can of Campbell’s Chunky Chicken and Rice soup. That was all. I hustled back to work for the next meeting. That was followed by two more. I had a chat with a key US colleague after that and then sent out some information for customers. If you’re not feeling it, one thing just rolled into another all day and before I blinked it was over. It was half five when I walked away from it. Seemed like a good time to power down. The next stop was the kitchen and the meal board wanted me to make cardboard pizza. The base for this one was a Great Value thin crust Hawaiian. I added shredded cheese, spinach and Cholula again. It was delicious again.
After dinner I was at a bit of crossroads until I got a text from the Chef. He was tasking himself to work through all the Star Wars movies, having been inspired by Star Wars day messages in our group chat. In solidarity I decided to watch Rogue One. It had been several years since I’d seen it and I very much enjoy that film. Then and now. It concluded at half eight and I started preparing for bed early. By nine I was ready for it. I decided to put on a podcast from my large queue and let that wind me down into some fantastic Star Wars dreams.
