Fast Monday
Monday started better than most Mondays. I woke up naturally from a long, thick sleep. I debated but eventually chose to follow my shower with a breakfast over a walk. I was still feeling a touch full from the previous night but for some reason I felt this was the proper decision. It allow me to start work promptly at eight. I suspect that if I could get myself waking up earlier I got eat and walk and still start at eight. That is my goal, let’s call it long term. In regards to work, things were very quiet on Monday morning, much too quiet for me having slammed the panic button on Friday afternoon. It was definitely too quiet for what I needed so I started mixing it up and making sure that I was heard. I’m trying to overcome a big hurdle in my professional world and I’m not convinced I’m getting the support I need. The morning was mostly meetings and so was the afternoon but where I had little holes in the schedule I blasted out emails all over the place. I did take an early break for lunch with some scheduled over my usual dining time. I scarfed down a bowl of Campbell’s Chunky Pepper Steak and Potato soup with a BBQ Chicken Crustini from Stouffers. It was more filling than I bargained for. By the end of the day, seed was starting to move to customers, finally I was able to get some started. It has been a really frustrating start to the growing season for me. I capped off my day by checking the meal board and only seeing last week’s list. I guess nobody updated it for me. I needed something quick and easy and settled on another Crustini, Mozzarella and Meatball. A very lame dinner. I hustled down to the lair to get a move on FS19. That was what happened for the remainder of the evening. Admittedly I’ve started to regress to former habits. The one other note is that I watched the Leafs on the Mini while I was playing, they lost in OT to the Oilers, just to add to my disappointment for the day.
