Manic Monday

I slept deeply and filled with dreams. I also slept late. I still had time for breakfast but it was going to be tight and as it turned out it was weird. The eggs didn’t behave like I expected. They were from the same dozen as previous efforts. I captured a photo to save myself writing a thousand words about it. See how they sheet out the sides? They tasted great and were otherwise fine, not sure what happened.

I forgot to factor in the time to do the dishes so I was at work between eight and half eight. The day was a classic Monday. I’m not sure if that explains it properly but that’s how it felt, use your own interpretation. Everything started normal, prepping for various meetings. Answering customer concerns. Normal stuff. First meeting happened and it was pleasant, even productive if I dare say. Next one was going to be small and short. It started a couple minutes early and only lasted eight minutes total. That’s either really good or really bad normally. This was mixed, some hope for a stuck process to get unstuck. After a call with a colleague it was lunch time. The lunch consisted of Campbell’s Vegetable soup and a Stouffer Bistro Crustini, Mozzarella and Meatball Panini. It was good, not fancy at all. I prepared, ate and cleaned it up in short order to ensure that I was prepared for the afternoon. First up was a team meeting that was followed up by a big beast of a meeting. The day was rounded out by returning a couple calls and wrapping up a lingering issue. It was nearly six when I powered down and decided to dial the Big T. I had called him last week with a question and he never called me back. He was in a tough mood as it turned out. He’d made a mistake with some inventory at the home farm and it resulted in a bit of a mess to sort out. I saw the solution and shared what I’d do. I think he was started down that path already but was pretty bummed and shaken by it. I shared with him that I put out bigger fires than that a few times a week and that it would work out. I’m not sure he heard me. While we were chatting I started dinner. It consisted of cardboard pizza, Great Value Four Meat, that I added extra cheese and Cholula to, and a small amount of McCain’s Tater Chips that were left over from the weekend. The evening was spent watching YouTube and setting my lineup for fantasy hockey. It was a short evening with the late dinner and an early bedtime. I need to try and force things back to an appropriate sleep schedule.
