Humble Hump Day

Today saw productivity in spurts. A few things got done but it was a slow day with serious lulls. It started more easily than the past few days for sure, popped right out of bed and sped through the morning routine. Made a tasty breakfast. But then I did some catching up on personal things, and not the ones I wanted to work on. I should have gone to get food and do some laundry but that wasn’t the case. I started work a half hour later than usual so not a big deal. I clipped thru the morning and arrived at lunch an hour late. Seems like I was playing catch-up most of the day. I decided to clean up some leftovers and finish the soup I had on hand. It was a potato bacon soup so it turned out well that I waited until later in the day to eat again. I paired it with the half chicken breast, cheese slice and bacon behemoth built on a calabrese bun. It was built to appear larger in the photo. Reality saw it scrunch down into a tasty morsel.

The afternoon started late and would end up being shorter as a result, that was a bonus. It whizzed by in any consequence and I arrived at five bells with some life left in me. I hammered through the last couple of days of worth of Microsoft Solitaire Collection then had to help the Big T remotely to learn how to DM a company on Twitter. It is not easy to assist people remotely. Especially when you can’t see what they’re doing and they are forthcoming with what they are seeing or doing. It got done and I started dinner. It was a repeat of the previous night but with a bigger chunk of chicken and some salsa.

The rest of the evening turned out fairly mundane as well. Took on some NHL20 and when that wasn’t going well, I flipped to the Jays game. When that wasn’t lively I switched to Netflix. The film du jour was the Courier. The first 6/7ths was terrible. One of the worst movies I’ve watched in the last year. Bad pacing and wildly unrealistic plot and bad writing were the major stumbling blocks. It seems the performers did what they could but it was hard to get through. Except for some cool special effects and epic deaths I’d say I regretted watching it. The special effects were actually fantastic and nearly make it worthwhile. The plot’s departure from reality is hard to stomach though, even as a fun romp. I screamed “shoot him” so many times it was stupid. That’s how you find out I guess, gotta watch them all the way.
