A Resurgence
Hard to say one day wasted is enough to warrant a resurgence but that’s the way it feels for me today. I had a full sleep and got a beautiful, regenerating shower in this morning. I again passed on breakfast first thing and got after some of the lingering chores that we didn’t get done previously in the week. I got some more laundry in to start the week fresh. I got another layer of caulk on the dry exhaust vent. I think it’s almost there, maybe one touchup round later today. It will dry and set a lot quicker today with the kiln type heat that is happening. It was disgusting out when I was working outside. You can see from the photo below that the yard project we did is starting to show results. I wouldn’t have expected the gray and crispy aspects that I saw, more weeds twisting up and dying over ten to fourteen days but the Big T has his own methods and mysteries. I’m not completely displeased with the project but still fairly disappointed about some aspects. I hope the grass isn’t feeling rough about it. I walked the lawns inspecting the results and this view is fairly consistent.
I prepared a nice lunch from some of the leftovers. The chicken breast had been in the fridge for over a week and needed to spend some time with my teeth. The potatoes that were cooked on the BBQ were still soft and supple when reheated and I added a dash of kosher salt to the cucumber slices to make them a touch more palatable. It was fairly light and delicious. Vegetables, who knew?! When I retreated back upstairs I decided to try another flavour of my six hand santizers that we bought at Bath & Body Works. You can see from the above photo that I had three from the Men’s Collection and a couple outside flavoured ones. I’m not sure if the CDC approves of the germ killing power but I figured that if you put enough on often enough then they can be effective. And since all six were about the same price as the approved bottle I have, I figured it’s worth a try. I went with the stress relief product for fun. I was pleasantly surprised at how the cool scent made me relax. I realize that it could be a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy but if I get to the desired result, who cares about that journey. Well, in this case. I am a firm believer that the journey is an important part of life but heck this was a nice relaxing feeling. I found myself sniffing my hands several times through the afternoon. Smelling great and done my tasks, I jumped on C&C with Ron around 1pm and we tried to play but with the server being overloaded we only got into one of three attempts to play. So we moved on to other things. I started a game of Sid Meier’s Civilization IV. I figured I’d start a world and see how far I get. Then a turn counter showed up in the corner and said I only had one hundred turns to go. I didn’t remember that from playing this a few years ago. I checked my phone and it was nearly ten! Another whoopsy. I really don’t know how that one happened. I retreated from my machine and crawled into bed. At least I had a productive stint in the morning I guess.
