Quick Day
It turned into a late start today. I slept in from the debacle that was the previous evening but totally justified it. I had a meeting from 5:15pm until 6pm that actually went to 6:30pm so I figured I was working on Central Time today. I even had a super late 2pm lunch to maintain the illusion. The day rocketed last, I spent most of the morning solving problems and answering questions for many folks before settling in to my own task. I had been waiting on someone to fix their issue before I could take on one of my annual tasks. I just did it myself. I spent most of the afternoon reviewing some files and covering off some extra mundane territory. I loved it. I also taught myself how to edit a complicated report and ended up changing a process that makes things much better for me and everyone else. Probably even you! When I’m able to lock myself into that kind of mundane task it causes time to just slip away. I cruised right into that late meeting after lunch, barely blinked and it was there. A mediocre dinner followed. I wrapped up a chicken breast with some bacon and slathered it in bacon ranch dressing. Tasty, effect, but hardly healthy. By the time I’d cleaned up the dinner mess it was nigh on eight bells. I started the download of BattleFront II on the PS4. I was thinking to buy it on Steam for $26.44, I think I got the better bargain from PS Plus. I’ve got a colleague that encouraged me to do this and to play with him and his brother. I’ll give it a whirl. I have to find a way to justify the $70 I spent to play online. Now it’s getting on into dusk and I’m thinking that sleep isn’t close. I suppose I’ll take another swath off my book. I hope to knock it off before the weekend.
