Ball is Rolling
Welcome home sports fans! Why would you try that two days in a row?! Too late, we’re into it. I took my gaming momentum from last night and dove it into today. I went from bed to computer and started with the cards then to killing soviets part. It was hilarious. I had Theodore Complete play first then Ron then Theodore then both, then each again. In the intervals, I played in the campaigns. It wasn’t all fun and games though. I got a call from the Big T and the boat has been dropped off for service so we’ll find out how much over $500 that will be. I also had a short chat with Cheese. It looks like we both have room in our COVID-19 bubbles so he is going to pop by for a bit while Two Glasses of Wine sees her parents after months apart. I also had a frantic lunch hour. I ate, which was the short part, before doing a workout (poor choice of timing) that consisted of fifty jumping jacks, ten flights of stairs and I was hoping to ride my stationary bike.
The first parts went great, the bike didn’t go well. Last time I used it the pedal seemed to be falling off. It felt loose. I took the cover off and tightened the bolt. It seemed to be fine. I hopped on today and got 3-4 minutes into ten and it was happening again. I grabbed a bunch of tools and got into it. Eventually I pulled the pedal completely off and saw that it had worn away over time and was allowing there to be a considerable amount of play. This is very disappointing, I don’t use it as often as I should be I do rely on that bike. I will have to investigate a replacement part. The square shaft must be made of harder steel because it appears to be still square. If it gets worn then that’s the end of the bike in my mind. I’m not sure what I’d do for another one, I just bought a boat after all! I also watered the plants and discovered the door I want to adjust has to come right off, lacks clearance for an in situ fix. The rest of the afternoon was spent booked up to that machine. Dinner was depressing and not smart. It’s all cleaned up though. Not sure what the back half of the evening holds but I’m sure I will enjoy it.
