Fast Lane
Today was another that was mostly light on meetings. There was a discussion call that went for three and a half hours at the end of the day but that’s another matter. Because of nothing right at the starting bell, naturally I woke up early and was ready to go an hour before the gun. This meant I was eating breakfast earlier which caused me to witness some occurrence that I normally might have missed. As I was waiting for my delightful breakfast to cool, I saw a bunny nipping off dandelion leaves from my yard. What a kind little beast, glad it doesn’t eat the grass down to the roots and create huge dead patches like the others. When it had had his fill I watched it hop up on my deck and start sniffing the flowers.
How cute! Then it started to nibble and I thought, okay, it had those bitter dandelion leaves, let it wash it down with some sweet dessert. It was mostly sniffing and prodding so I let it go on. At one point it climbed on a pot and was leaning into big purple. Eventually it fell into big purple, that’s when I knew it must be drunk and chased it away. The rest of the day was boring work stuff, except at about 4pm when my internet kicked off during a call. I was annoyed, I thought we were last this foolishness. As it happens, it was because my service change-over happened. I had to unplug the modem for ten seconds to make it official, as instructed. I’m ripping along now!
I’m very happy that I’m at my new speed. After my conference call that ended into the evening hours and a quick chat with my parents to make some arrangements, Theodore Complete and I battled some AI players on Command & Conquer: Red Alert. It was a lot of fun. Our movie night was further postponed so we got another chum and played again later in the evening. This round I streamed through my Twitch channel. Not for anyone to watch but more to test how it looks and what the lag is like. I went to bed past my bedtime but had an energizing evening.
