Restock PLUS
It’s that’s time again. The restock. I didn’t Warn you at all. Mostly cause I didn’t post yesterday, it sat in draft mode overnight and I threw it up this morning. My original plan was to span the fortnight again for a second time but I slept poorly the previous night so I wasn’t going to wake in time to complete the familiar ritual of going too early and getting breakfast, etc. so I pushed it off. I didn’t have any early meetings so I was able to be flexible. That means that I set a new mark, fifteen days between shops. I left the house at 7am and refueled the truck, I think. The gas gauge isn’t working right anymore so it shows as 3/4 full even if I cram every milliliter of fuel I can into it. At some point I’ll have to get that repaired but I am hesitant as I foresee it being a very involved process. With a full tank I navigated to the Home Depot. It was finally flower time. I eventually got a cart and loaded up. I got my traditional fern for the front of the Harbour, I’ve got enough flowers to kid up several pots. I have to figure out where to put them all but I’ve got a full supply. The item I’m somewhat anxious about was an impulse buy. I had been chatting with the cashier and asked her how much a specific, plastic Muskoka chair cost. When she told me it was only $20 I told her to wrap it up, I’ll take it. She was mildly surprised. I did it because it is a heavy duty version. I’m hoping I can’t crush it to the ground within an hour. Next stop was Walmart for the grocery run. I needed some other things that I buy every couple of years as well so the bill was much higher than normal. I got some candles, some Swiffer stuff, a Pyrex, bathroom stuff, and olive oil. Really jacks the price when you add a bunch of $10+ items. Everything was washed promptly and stowed before work. I used my lunch hour for planting flowers in pots instead of eating, choosing some chocolate milk later in the afternoon. Not sure that is better but I’m glad my cupboards and full and I’ve got something in my pots.
