Slow Fixes
It was months ago when I first got the idea to do some work on the garage. It was also years ago when I first set things up. The work bench was a necessity and the rest built out from there. Mostly trying to hang things neatly. But hanging things didn’t work out the way I’d intended in some cases. There were items where I could hit a stud or I didn’t have the right hooks or the right screws but in the fashion that past Tugboat operates in, it just got done in an imperfect fashion. I was moving stuff around early in 2020 and decided that I should fix it up, mount everything securely. I measured and marked off what I wanted and bought the wood. Just a couple of 8’ pieces I’d mount to the wall securely and could use to hang everything else on. Simple. But the boards sat in wait for weeks before I mounted one. Then I was out of screws. So time wore on. I finally procured the screws today and finished the job, four months later. It’s not fancy or even well done but I think it looks a lot better and everything is secure. I’m very excited that my ladder is up out of the way and not in the way of my tables. I was also inspired while in there to clean up my bench so I can use it. It was stacked with beer and empty containers since last fall. Just a short tale to remind you I’m not just cooking and eating. I’m also procrastinating.
