Fun Begins

September has arrived. It exploded into being through an August that hardly registered. Seriously, it was just June and now the summer is gone. I wish I’d taken more than just one paltry week off. I worked for hours at a time during that week too. It wasn’t until I left town and my laptop behind and went to a place where I could relax that I was actually able to unplug. July was fun, I had lots of adventure. August I don’t remember much. I know I put a lot of km on my vehicle. I was double most months in recent history. I guess I must have sped through the month, maybe I should have measured it in km rather than hours. I think one component that helped to expedite time was this habit of having one trip a week for a couple of days. The days leading up are spent in preparation and the days after are spent catching up on what you didn’t do while on the road. It make the time positively soar! I was in the West a week, in the East a week, up North a week and around a week. That’s how you destroy a month. The good thing of August was that I made sure to take breaks on weekends. I was able to shutdown and enjoy myself. It was imperative that I do that then, there will be no such opportunity in September. The trips are going to flow into each other. This holiday long weekend is the last reprieve. I’ll be hosting big tours in the West, then East, then closer to home. They require a good amount of preparation and organization. I’ll be handling elements of my old job as well. This will make for a crazy 6 weeks. I’ll have to travel through weekends and make certain that everything is done well. I’m excited for the challenge and concerned about the intensity. I’ve tried to build in a few days here and there to recover. I’ll try and post more in the fall. I’ve been very off the radar through the summer months. Keep checking back.
