Nice L'il Sunday
I had a quiet Sunday to match my Saturday. I checked all the major boxes so far and still managed to be productive and to visit with friends. The day started on a rocky note as I awoke from my slumber with a moderate headache. Not sure why, but it felt like pressure. I am wondering if this freeze-thaw cycle we've been dealing with is dealing with my brain. Well more specifically my sinus cavity. Probably unrelated. I drank water and took Tylenol to shut it up, which eventually worked. If I hadn't stayed up watching the end of Magic Mike XXL, which I'd never seen, I would have been up earlier to get ready. As it was, I was pressed for time to get out the door. I didn't bother with my usual groceries and planned to do laundry upon my return. I made my way to the Chef and She's place. We had breakfast plans and I needed to finally receive my Christmas gift from them. It was a delightful thing, quite unique. The chapter can now be closed as all gifts have been received. We ate, we went to a pair of hardware stores. We shopped a bit in the Home Depot before I dropped them off and made my way home, half the day already behind me. I was able to get my laundry, my Microsoft Solitaire Collection Daily Challenges, vacuuming, and re-potting an aloe vera done in short order. I then did some measuring in the basement to confirm that the projector I'm planning to buy is going to make an appropriately sized screen. It will end up close to an 100" screen (6'x5' in a 4:3 aspect ratio), which is pretty much perfect. The space for a couch isn't what I was hoping and my face will end up being 8' from that giant screen. This I'll have to evaluate further. I made a lovely meal, I read my book briefly and I overall just enjoyed the lovely weather. I'm hoping to finish taping the last three walls in the guest bedroom finally, now that I have the foot stool to reach. Then I can start procrastinating on getting the primer done. I imagine it will take me some time to choose the colour for the room. Currently I'm thinking on a light silver colour from Behr called Silver Screen, or maybe the Classic Silver, or the Gentle Rain. One of those is the front runner at the moment. Let me know which one you like best in the comments, I'm very open to feedback. I'm also keeping Agreeable Gray from Sherwin Williams in the mix. I'm not in a rush for that portion. I did manage to choose my bathroom tile and my laminate flooring for the basement too. Those won't go in for another week though.
