Is that a Light?
The spring rush lasted about two weeks longer than normal this year. I still say this whole year is two weeks delayed. We're getting close to being able to see the end of the tunnel. We still have a pile of work to do and things aren't really going to slow down that much but at least there is hope again for a more regular life. We'll see where that lands but I'm excited that we might actually be able to achieve it. With the end of planting comes my own personal planting. I have been driving by two garden centers on the way to work for six weeks now and haven't had the time and/or energy to stop. Having a running mate would help with this too but that also has been elusive. I need to buy my annual flowers and my fern. The fern has become a several year tradition that I am not entirely ready to abandon. I also realized yesterday that the sooner I get these flowers, the sooner that I'll have to continuously water them and thus the sooner I'll kill them. My parents are threatening to visit in July so wouldn't I be better suited to buy them closer to that date? Well yes and no. Yes for the obvious reasons and no because if you wait that long all the good stuff is gone and you're left with the scraps of a closing garden center. This is experience talking. Go to the Images tab and find my floral arrays from last year to get a sense of what I am capable of, I was enthused by the results. That is my future, or is it? Glad to be back, hopefully we can make this more of a regular thing.
