Conversations and Calm

Another fun weekend is in the books. This time I ended up spending a night in London-town. As I mentioned in my previous post, I was going to see Cheese on Friday night. I knew I would be staying over, and brought my overnight supplies. Hair brush (yes, brush), toothbrush (yes, also a brush because tooth comb would be weird), change of clothes, and eight beers. You know, the usual fare for staying a night in a different town. We had a lovely dinner of hand crafted chicken Caesar wraps. We also had some vintage, limited time only guacamole Doritos. They were better than we all expected. There was another guest as well. A young lady that works with Two Glasses of Wine down at the ol' Cheese Mill. They more or less kept to themselves and Cheese and I engaged in conversation. I liked the concept overall but could provide nothing I was willing to share for him to pluck from my mind. We laughed it up until deep in the evening. The next day saw 2GW head to her workout early and afforded Cheese and I to cover off a couple of topics of Conversations. You can find the episodes posted for your listening pleasure. Neither went the way I had hoped but the outcomes could have been worse. As usual, Sunday was reserved for life maintenance activities. Groceries were purchased for the first time in too long, laundry was completed, cleaning was done and a workout was undertaken. Aside from posting the Conversations and settling in for the Walking Dead, the only other noteworthy move was baking cookies. The Tugboat is not known for baking prowess but those instant cookies turned out perfect. The key is to let them cool and not try and shovel them off the baking sheet immediately. A lesson well learned many moons ago. Never underestimate the importance of letting something cool. Never...
