Shows Over

The show is over. The farm show. Specifically, Canada's Outdoor Farm Show. It's all wrapped up for another year. All we have to do to fully sink it's ship is put away two trucks worth of crap and I can put that place out of my mind for another year. The mulch instead of grass was very well received. I got multiple compliments for how the site looked, I didn't do all the physical labour at the site but I was a big part of that aspect as well as the planning portion. I didn't coordinate with other vendors like A/V companies, landscapers or tent people this year (which was nice) but I had a hand in most other things. I'm glad it all worked out. The site got torn down last night in a flurry of activity. It took all of twenty minutes to undo a summer's worth of work. The crew destroying it was much larger than the four of us who created it from nothing. But it's over, and that's the point. I'm very happy to be rid of that responsibility for the next few months. Now I can get on with my real job and harvest has begun. I have been busy already, I'll fill in some posts to let you guys know what has been happening over the last two weeks. I've got some good notes but haven't had the time to dig into anything in detail yet. I hope to have the gaps filled in for you, at least the big ticket items and my thoughts around them. There have a been a few thought provoking things that have lurched out of the abyss, my life has not been void of milestones for sure. I was even able to fire up a Conversation that Cheese and I had along the way. It's a good one, check it out and hang tight for the gaps posts to filter in.
