Half In/Half Out

This was a day that started off slow and unproductive but built to a crescendo of activity. I was slated to travel the fifty minutes to our Eastern Business Office for meetings covering the majority of the afternoon. Knowing I would arrive early, I also knew that I'd have to leave early. Leaving early meant that my time in the morning would be rather constricted. I was able to rationalize it to the point that I didn't have time to start any big projects because I had to leave. Any small items that could have been done were also disqualified with "what ifs" that clouded the fringes of the mind. So I made a couple of calls, prepared a nice lunch and got things moving. The morning was slow, I handled a few items before sneaking into the break room early only to discover that TSN's Trade-center had to that point been a colossal bust. I think they ended with nineteen trades when the dust settled but sat with one at noon. Pretty tough to entertain and stay relevant on that program with no content. I was impressed they were able to do what they did. I ate my delicious soup, well, it was soup the previous day, by the time I ate it I was dealing with a juicy pasta salad. It was still delicious though. The afternoon was very engaging and required my full attention. I had some good conversations after the meetings and got some strong answers for issues that had arisen during the weekend and the morning. By the end of the day I was ready to shutdown the brain. I sought out Brown and we discovered that She couldn't join us for dinner so we decided to go to the one place she wouldn't be upset about us visiting, Wild Wing in Guelph. She and I had had a negative experience there previously and she vowed to never ever return so we were safe going there. I think someone wrote a scathing TripAdvisor review about the adventure. I got boneless wings which wasn't quite the same. The favours had changed drastically too for my pair of beloved sauces. The Some Beach was still good but the Spicy Gar Par had gotten much worse. The event overall was adequate. We enjoyed ourselves and came up with some crazy plans over the course of the meal. After it was done I had to bow out to get moving before any weather could take hold. There has been chatter of a storm brewing that will change the landscape drastically. Nothing to date for my sphere. I guess we'll see what the morrow brings.
