Kid is Doing Stuff

Sunday. A low stress day of rest. Relax to the max. Not this guy. I am locked in a tight Weekend Warrior battle on the FitBit as I may have mentioned. I have been in constant motion. I'm like a shark, I can't stop swimming or I'll lose the battle. I woke up early and dashed off to get groceries and wouldn't you know it, I walked every aisle in that store for no reason outside of getting them steps. So I came home and put it all away then decided I should make chicken noodle soup. I may have put too much noodle and not enough chicken so it will end up more like a juicy pasta salad but I'm alright with that since it is quite tasty. How do you get steps doing that? Put on some tunes and dance around like a fool while you do it. It's dance soup now. I had only put up 17k steps on Saturday so I had to really push to get higher than that. Little did I know my opponent would be blowing snow all day and getting her steps that way. It was a tight race with pretty big swings. I ate my soup and then decided it would be a good idea to wander around the house inspecting stuff. Then I figured since I'm walking around I might as well do it with a vacuum in my hand. So I did that. Then I was cleaning so I did some dusting and cleaned bathrooms. I still wasn't pulling away though so I threw on some shoes and wandered around in the empty lot across the road by the highway. It wasn't as fun as it sounds, just a good way to get a soaker on a Sunday. I found myself back home and took care of some business on my computer. Cheese called in and we recorded a Conversation that will be posted this week. So look for that around Wednesday. I made some more moves but still had to watch the end of Ray Donovan season three so I put it on my tablet and got on the bike in the basement. It was at this point that I started to pull ahead. After this I made a meager dinner out of some Tuna Helper, which was delicious. The rest of the evening was spent pacing different parts of the house until I had my long time catch up call with the Blind Man. He's back in NYC again and working on Wall Street. We had a nice chat and caught up on a few things. He revealed that his wife is on the other side of the continent but he may be joining her in the next 18-24 months. It was good to catch up with that guy. That took me to the end of the day. When the dust settled I had an almost 5000 step lead going into the final hour. I'm pretty confident that I'll win the battle. But I'll wait until after midnight to declare myself the winner.
