Less Exciting Followup

Today was definitely less exciting than yesterday. Food wasn't as good, escaping from my bedroom wasn't as hard as last night's adventure. I mean, the door wasn't even locked, c'mon! Work was more steady and annoying today. I did the see the potential end to a number of important tasks though so that is good. It wasn't a terrible day. It was just a day. One of the unheralded placeholders that have to tick by between excitement and enjoyment. One of the many days that are unremarkable and very forgettable. These are the days that turn months into years. Both literally and figuratively. Surely as you have been getting older you are noticing that time seems to be moving quicker? That you've lived in the Harbour for three years and it only feels like one? These are the days that contribute that phenomenon. Bland, mediocre days that zip in and out of our consciousness so fast they barely seemed real. You pile those up and next thing you know a block of time has passed and you barely registered it. A good way to combat this problem is try and do remarkable things. Don't roll your eyes thinking there a rah-rah speech pending. Seriously? Have you been reading along, that's not my thing. I do get excited from time to time, granted. But I'm not about to rally the troops to carp the day or nothing! But yes, doing things that are remarkable or more specifically would be memorable will help to fight this feeling. And when you can't fight this feeling anymore it might be because you've done too much and one event gets lost in the crowd of many. It's all about balance. Something that is missing for me right now. I ate a large lunch and thought I would balance that by having only a snack for dinner. But then I didn't have anything. Now I want to eat a Buick and I can't due to the hour. It's a hard knock life, so balance it out and stay busy, but not too busy, and make the things memorable, but not all of them. You get it? This guy knows that I'm talking about. There is no one there. I need to eat something, or at least guzzle a liter of water. Yikes.
