Escape!

We did it! We got out! This must be what Dean Pritchit felt like when he got out of that dumpster on Old School! If you're wondering what I'm referring to, stop, go watch Old School then start imagining when they locked him in the dumpster, a fact alluded to when they become reacquainted as adults. How he would have felt scared and humiliated. Desperate to get out. Well that wasn't the case for us! We paid good money to be locked in a room and given an hour to escape. Yes, at the top rated entertainment venue in Kitchener! It was a Christmas gift from Brown and She that I got in 2014. A passage for four to attempt to escape from an Adventure Room. We played the Original Room, in which,  players have around a twenty percent success rate. We signed a waiver at the start saying we wouldn't give details but I'll say that it was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. You get sixty minutes to get through multiple clues and puzzles to try and solve a series of mysteries to advance in the game. Anyone can play, you just need flat shoes and a can do attitude. We got two or three hints and escaped the clutches of the room with only 5 minutes remaining. Apparently that is a good time! We got little medals our picture taken with a generic trophy. As team leader I was given the chance, nay, the opportunity to change the statistic on their whiteboard. Add one to the escape pile! Who played? I probably should have covered that previously  but it was myself, Brown and She and our friend Eye-talian Jennmpd. We all had a blast. We didn't just play that game though. We also played a game of restaurant roulette. I picked the place that was physically closest to the destination. It happened to be a quaint little spot called J and B Family Restaurant. Hardly leaves a strong impression right? Well it was a pleasant surprise and will be getting a strong review on TripAdvisor from a certain someone. I would go back if business every had me in that area again. It likely won't but on the off chance it does, I'd go back. And you should too! So that was a nice little outing. Merry Christmas circa 2014 to me! To all a good night!
