Other Powerball Plans

Well the draw was made last night. There was a winner, apparently the ticket was sold in California so I didn't win. I think you also have to purchase a ticket to be a winner so there's that also. I guess I do live in a different country. I heard of people here getting people there to buy them tickets. I guess you have the numbers to "prove" it was for you but in reality couldn't they just take the money and run? I'd be tempted to, especially on such a life changing prize. It ended up being $1.5B after all the insanity of the last few days unfolded. I was watching the news this morning, aka SportsCenter and they were showing what teams you could buy. I could buy my beloved Leafs. They make money every year and they're only a billion or so dollars! That would a be a crazy investment. I'm sure I could make more, stress-free money with my previously outlined plan. Besides, if I owned an NHL team then I'd have to deal with Bettman. I think I'd make my half the pot investment, buy my houses and boat and then start to experience things. Two Glasses of Wine wants to go to Bora Bora and Africa. I'd definitely take her and Cheese on that vacation. Another thing that I think would be neat would be to visit the last continents that I haven't been to. I'd get Africa on that trip. I'd go to Uruguay for the beef and cramble down to the southern tip of South America. A girl I dated once told me that there is a two week excursion from there across the sea to Antarctica. That would cover that off. I supposed I could likely take my own yacht but for safety sake I'd probably get there faster. That leaves Australia. I'm not a big surfer guy but I do like to sit and listen to the water. I'd likely skip the whole Great Barrier Reef business, for fear of Jaws and also drowning. I'm rich, why would I risk dying like that? Before you go and assume I'd become the Spruce Moose dude, relax. I am just severely risk adverse, ask my banker. I would probably go and see what all the hoopla was about in SE Asia but I've already hit Asia so it's covered. I think the two trips I'd make would be to return to Scotland and Ireland, obviously I'd have to if purchasing an estate or title in Scotland, which I would totally buy some titles, and to Sicily. Admiral Bonesaw and I loved the Godfather so much in high school and I still think it would be cool to see that spot in person, but only in winter. My buddy Binky tells me Italy is unbearably hot in the summer. I think that covers off the major life experiences I'd try my hand at if I won. I'd probably do most of that in the first couple of years of getting my cheque. Then I'd have a feel for my favourites and expand on that. I have to go, work business stuff but I'll leave it there for now.
