Vacation Fail
So as y'all know, I'm on vacation this week. I've touched on it heavily in the last few posts if you weren't aware. Yesterday I had a minor slip up with that meeting in the afternoon. It was very short and somewhat sweet. Today was a different story so far. I was on my computer for three hours so far which is above average since I have only been up for three hours. I turned it on and started emails and then did a call and now I'm very tempted to just while away the afternoon on a big project. I can't do that though as this is my last vacation day until Christmas so I will force myself to stop and move to something else. I have been powering through a Netflix show called Bloodlines. Admiral Bonesaw recommended it heavily and now I'm following his orders. So far it is sloooooowwww. But he assures it will pick up after about eight episodes. I am trusting him on this one and he best not disappoint me here. I've also been hacking away at the fifth Game of Thrones book: A Dance with Dragons over the last couple of days. I'm about 30% done. I started that project to ensure that I'm up to speed for when the new book comes out later this year (allegedly). So basically I've been doing what I want, when I want, which is amazing.
Last night I swung west to drop in on Cheese and Two Glasses of Wine. I got a birthday card which was very nice and Cheese and I recorded a podcast episode. It was at least double the length I anticipated. Quite a Conversation indeed. I may be seeing them again this weekend if the stars align. Over this week, which has flown by (indicating that I've been enjoying it), my calendar is starting to fill rapidly. Several more weekends have been bookmarked and written off already. Plans are firming up nicely like a good concrete pad. I'm hoping my strong life momentum continues into tomorrow and the next day. Since I'm not even sure what I'm saying anymore I'll stick my snifflely nose back into my book.
