Routinely Routine
So old Tugboat went on vacation this week. You can tell the routine has been thrown off course. After a spectacular regularity of posting last week things went off the rails for the first two days this week. There are good excuses which will result in some information being shared out. So Tugboat went to his birthplace over the weekend, this was known. That was quite the excursion. It was quite enjoyable. The parents didn't force any plans or commitments, it was total freedom this visit which was stellar. The retirement party for my aunt and uncle was a lovely time with terrific decorations, and impeccable food and drink. The theme was Mexican it was executed like a professional party. There was a lot of attention to detail that was appreciated by all the guests. In traditional fashion for my family, there was more food than was thought possible. In fact, the next night we gathered again to make a dent in the leftovers. I hope they like Mexican often because there was enough for at least one more large gathering to sup upon the spoils. I didn't get done in by the drink on that night, it was the food. I ate too much and felt uncomfortably full and as such took a ride home with my parents. I got bed early and felt some relief. I also started watching Ray Donovan on my iPad. This would not last as I finished the season in short order, another factor in my absence from the internet. We got the harvest started as well and my father finished one of our three farms before I departed. I got to help sparingly as I spent time doing other things. I watched My Cousin Vinny with the Admiral, Dutchie, and the GRP on Sunday afternoon after much difficulty getting it to play. What a delightful film that holds up very well. I drove home on the Monday, well not all the way home, just to Guelph. I stopped for a visit then had an energy drink episode. I will describe it as a bad trip. Once I recovered I decided to spend the night there so there would be people to check up on me. It was hot. It was so hot. The upstairs of that house does not offer the same moderate temperatures as the main floor. I had a relatively restless sleep, to make it three in a row. This made me realize I had to get back into my own bed, so I returned to my home. Yesterday I got back, settled in just in time to head west for Cheese's massive showcase. We haven't given much detail on it but last night was a big show for him and his troupe. They did not disappoint. He did exceptionally well on a personal level and really brought the laughs. I was impressed and proud of him. I have been raving about it all day today. I can't wait for my next opportunity to see him perform. It smells like September or October by the sounds of it. You should all be looking into it. Upon our return home we watched Bill Burr to add to the humour of the night. Sleep came easy at the late hour and so did waking, much too easy. The hour was smaller than I would have liked when I rose from the slumberlands but I can nap as the day goes on. Or I can find my bed earlier tonight. I anticipate a few phone calls this evening though so I suppose I will stay vigilant for a few more hours. These things happen on your birthday I suppose. :)
