Top Notch Sunday

Sunday was top notch. Would it be funny if I just stopped it after that sentence? No detail, no illumination. Just give that as an update, an insight into the world that is Tugboat. Sunday was a flash back to the old life of the Tugboat, truly an enjoyable voyage into what was. I awoke with a start at eight in the morning and quickly dressed myself and prepared for the day. I made some calls and gathered my things for my trip to Guelph. For this day of days, was the day in which I was to participate in the Fionn McCool's third annual golf tournament. I used some Snapchat to create a little bit of a story for the few who are lucky enough to follow my social media shenanigans. We played scramble format and it really was a scramble for the first few holes as it was pouring rain; but the show must go on. We were delighted when it backed off and over-joyed when it quit completely. I hadn't swung a club since last year and the rain deterred me from hitting the range beforehand like I hoped to do. Luckily I've still got it. It, being mediocre golf skills. By the end I had my irons dialed in pretty well and I was able to sink a couple of long putts on the day. I was consistently the longest and close to the wildest off the tee block and my game around the green with the high irons was pretty aggressive. I've never met a green I didn't like to sail over from >100 yards out. All in all, it was a fun day on the course. I think we were -5 as a foursome which would have put us in the upper echelon of the middle of the pack. I think the winning group was -10 with another at -7. If there were anymore between us and -7 I don't know. So for that reason I should probably just declare that we were third. It didn't matter much, everyone was a winner. We went back to Fionn's for an amazing prime rib dinner, that was part of the arrangement. Everyone got a prize for playing and there was a long raffle with many and more prizes. By the end of the day I was completely sacked and will shut down the motor soon. Really fun day though, best rain golf I've ever played in.

I will give a quick and lightly detailed account of the Saturday occurrences. I will leave out massive chunks until later. I rose early and got groceries and things at seven in the morning. I came home and unpacked it all and then cleaned my house from top to bottom, well, top to middle. I didn't bother with the basement. Then I watched some Sons of Anarchy re-runs. Then I went to bed at midnight. The rest will have to remain a mystery for some of you.....for now.
