Tuesday, the First Day of the Week
Today was a very productive day, it was not long by any means, but was very satisfactory for amount accomplished. Everyone on my team left our workplace feeling like they had accomplished something important. I spoke with colleagues and friends as well and the same sentiment was shared by them. That this day, the first day back from a long weekend, was very productive. I got to thinking about it a little as the night raged on and this news does nothing to dissuade me that a four day work week is a better formula to follow. I think we should work four days a week, every week, for ten hours each day. I am rosey on this idea now and need one of your to help me with a negative, for I see none. The employer has you for the same number of hours. You come to work more refreshed each week. You know you only have to be there for four days. I'm just not seeing the downside. I'm, of course, talking about full-time employment. Part-time employment could be similarly affected. It could become a 3 day a week proposal. I need someone to spin the negatives to me. There has to be a reason we're not doing this that I don't see. I've also been asked to call Two Glasses of Wine something else. I've been asked to call them Two Glasses of Smooth Vodka from Bohemian Spirits. The name somehow doesn't have the same ring to it, it is a bit of a mouthful. So is a glass of gin from Bohemian Spirits, a delicious, smooth mouthful. That's the way I see it.
