A Rare Night Out

I will begin with a quick once over of Thursday for those of you that need to know every morsel of my business. I went to work and helped a colleague with some learnings then came home. My evening was dull but brightened by a large thunder and rain storm that kept me up to a later hour than I had desired. That will tie into the events of Friday.

Friday was a coffee day. I have maintained that I don't drink it unless I need it. I needed it Friday. I needed it hard. I poured a couple of cups into my gullet and set off for work. Today was going to be the day I mildly dreaded. The day I started to count seed. It is a long and monotonous journey of standing in front of a machine. To circle back to my early rant flavoured entry about people only working on Fridays, that happened as well. So my attention was being divided and propped up by coffee. It felt like a job day more than a career day, put it that way. I was glad I had to leave an hour early. I did this because for the first time in months, I had plans.

I got to London in good time. I was going to see my friend's Improv troupe perform. He was not going to be in this particular show but I wanted to see what it was all about, having never been to a live Improv comedy show before. His fiancee joined us and we sat in for both the shows of the evening. They had a special guest and overall it was very entertaining and very funny. There were some good hard laughs to be had. Initially we had talked about going out with the performers after the show and to meet and greet them but the day had been long for two of us and we decided to end on a quiet drink and some enjoyable conversation. It was the longest I slept all week. What a lovely evening.
