Sweaty Sunday
So it finally happened. Tugboat found himself home alone this day of days and had nothing pressing that needed to be done. There was the usual R&R day preceding so that was taken care of. Today was an open day in the schedule. It was a nice change. The day itself started off slow and aimless but very quickly shifted gears. I was walking around deciding what I wanted to do and the list really started to swell. I then began to ignore the non-productive aspects and before I knew what was happening I had a list of homeowner stuff to tackle. Everything from cleaning the bathrooms to changing the air filter to doing the laundry to wrapping all the purchased gifts and stowing them under the tree. I ran out of gas after five hours and had to take a rest and eat lunch before starting back into it. At that point though, with a box of KD in tow, I was less effective. All in all, it was excellent use of my time and the house is much closer to the state I want it in. Before the year ends I plan to take on some more jobs like changing the gaskets on the toilets and checking the attic and insulation. Homeowning, am I right?!?
Yesterday was more about recharging the old noodle. I did take the time to trim the tree and start some gift wrapping. I also watched Red Dawn (1984) for the first time. I did that while the Leafs were crushing my sister's St Louis Blues. It was a good evening. I watched Paycheck for the first time also. It was not great. I am not even sure what I got up to yesterday. I know I slept in longer than usual. I guess the day was a write-off, like those business guys are always talking about. Although, I didn't find anything too taxing about it. Aw well, they must know what they are talking about. I know that I did record a nice long podcast with the GRP. All these recent references to time travel and time machines really got me thinking and I know GRP thinks sometimes so I called him up and we powered through some stuff. It was an interesting chat. Cramble over to the Conversations tab to listen to episode 42 or dig it out of your iTunes. Or don't? Actually, do. I would prefer if you did. Well I'm not sure I have anything else of note to share currently so come back for more later.
