All in Monday

Today we celebrated being done corn by going to do an colleague's corn plot. It seems very counter intuitive. I'm sure the goodwill will come back to help me in the future. Or at least it would be nice. The bright side is that we got to use our brand spanking new trailer. It is a thing of beauty. The dark side is that one of the tires went flat during the trip and the hub it was on got very, very hot. We thought it was the brakes sticking or not working correctly so we jacked it up and tested how the wheels turn and if there is any braking issues. There were none, spoiler alert. So we will just have to wait and see, and in my case, hope that it was just the flat tire that caused the intense burning sensation on my fingers and palm. I was relatively unharmed. My kid did most of that anyways. I went full bore into a data dungeon and worked my tail off to get some huge improvements in place for the big corn meeting on Thursday. This is a pretty big part of my year where we screen all the material we tested over the course of the summer. Basically the climax of the summer for me. After we decided on stuff it's all about selling it to the business after that. I have never been too nervous about that part of it. It's the big screening meeting that has more stress for me. I'll be glad when it's all over and done with. Like my day today is. Over. And out.
