Tent-Venture - Episode 14

I’m posting the following journey undertaken by my friend Theodore Complete on their behalf.

Tent-venture episode 14

Day 94 (Sunday)

Delilah day 94 from sprout

Sadie day 77 from sprout, flowering day 21

Sadie has a lot of development for 3 weeks. I’ve defoliated a few times and you can’t tell I’ve really cut anything, which is a good thing I guess.

I looked closer at Delilah through my pocket microscope and saw the colour of the trichromes deemed her ready. So much for day 100 harvest I mentioned in the last episode. Oh well.

I just cut her right at the base and went to town trimming. I put on latex gloves this time because this gal is sticky. I stopped a few times to clean the trimmers too. She was a dense girl, and the first plant I’ve gotten from seed to harvest.

To dry, I broke it down even further.

I put together a hillbilly twine screen to do a ‘screen of green’ or ScrOG training. The idea is to flatten the canopy to a somewhat consistent height to even light distribution. I had wanted to do this sooner but Delilah was in the way up to this point. It took a bit of time to bend all the stems but I think it went well. For future grows I’m going to build a wooden frame to accomplish this. I also moved the second watering spike to Sadie, so she has two moisture sensors reading moisture levels.

Day 95 Monday

Looking good. I think in future grows I’ll flip to flower sooner just because I’m concerned about my light not being strong enough for this size of canopy.

She also has downed a lot of water, so I dialled the sensors back a bit.

Day 98 (Thursday)

It has been a busy week so I haven’t had much opportunity to update. I mixed up some nutrients and fed Sadie.

Day 99 (Friday)

I didn’t do much, just snapped a few pics.

Day 100 (Saturday)

I was busy all day so not much of an update but here’s a photo I found really interesting. The root system has grown up to the drip feeders. The plant is healthy so I’m not too concerned about this.

Hopefully more substantial updates in the future.  Stay tuned!
