Tired Tuesday
Tuesday morning felt like I was living in slow motion. The late start to sleep and waking at seven put me in an unfamiliar state for the morning hours. Everything seemed a bit surreal. I had to really focus on what I was doing. I had a couple more of the delicious blueberry delights for breakfast with some syrup and I filled my thermos with ice water. The food brought me around somewhat and the water was definitely helping. I had to get fully cleaned up and ready because I had a pair of customer meetings, one in the morning and one in the evening. This week was going to be the brands that worked with the Western account manager. I had to put them off until now to accomodate several vacation schedules. The first one I thought would be pretty quick by they had a lot of questions for us and we had some fantastic discussions. I think that energized me. There wasn’t much of an interval from the end of that meeting and lunch but I was snapping it around like nobody’s business. It might have been adrenaline kicking in, I’ll never know. When I went down for lunch I had a package waiting for me, an expensive one. When I was at home I’d experimented with the Chef’s GoPro3 some more and decided I would just get my own. I told you about how I pulled the trigger, well it showed up sooner than expected. I got it charging straight away so I could try it out.
It presents me with a mild dilemma though, until now I’ve been putting everything on to my phone and using editing software I got from work. Now that I have three sources of video that aren’t my phone, I should probably get proper editing software for my computer, but what kind, it seems like I would get bogged down trying to choose. That said, for those three cameras I have, I can port it all to my phone, but it’s troublesome getting it off the phone, much more so than off the devices to my computer. I might have to graduate to the real thing, then it would just be hard to move the videos I take with the phone over. I’m a bit torn on the issue. Anyways, the afternoon meeting was just me and the customer this time and it went pretty smooth. Some light gossip back and forth and the meeting content. I updated the database with some changes and worked on some of my projects. I think I’m more prepared for the fall rush this year but there still seems to be things to do and I’m sure I’ll end up in a scramble again this year. I’m starting to get a bit apprehenisive for the plane flight and rental car portion of my journey but I’ll talk to some people who have done it this year before I go, help me get some expectations. Speaking of talking to people, I unexpectedly got invited to dinner with a couple of customers including a friend from school, Tosser. I met them at six after work at the local Montana’s. We had some beer and food and laughed it up. I think it was a good conversation.
I got home from around half eight and let my fatigue take hold. I crawled into my bed, played a bit of Marvel Strike Force and drifted into oblivion around half nine I think. I needed to.
