Calm Day
Another late evening culminated in me sleeping in later than appropriate. It was half seven again when I pulled my carcass from the cloud and got my day ripping. I made my usual breakfast and watered the plants. It was about quarter after when I fired up my office, I put half past as my starting time though. I started into the task I was working on at the end of the day yesterday. For a break at one point I started poking around the software tools I’ll need to use in the fall to ensure I had proper access. That consumed some time, some things had been moved around but otherwise I think everything is functional. I wrapped up my task at noon, just in time for a weird lunch of leftovers. I had a sausage in a bun with the remainder of the jambalaya from last week. It was better fresh. No cheese on it today.
I didn’t take much of a break choosing to get right back at it. I started working on my mundane Excel project from awhile back. I rocked tunes and powered through a big piece of that until shortly after five then I got a couple phone calls that kept me busy until after half past. I’m saying I got my 9h in today. The meal board demanded that I have perogies for supper so I preheated the air fryer and indulged the board. Looks like a pretty typical perogie setup for me.
If you thought that it was typical you’d be wrong. In the bowl I’d mixed together some of the pizza flavoured perogies I’d purchased frozen from the market when I went with my family with some regular potato cheese ones. The pizza ones had a vibrant flavour to them. Definitely manufactured and not handmade but pretty delicious and a fun change. The regular ones were nice too. A filling meal.
After dinner there were some MSC challenges to be completed and while I didn’t catch myself up, I came pretty close. I figured I’d need something for the weekend. While I played I consumed a handful of YouTube videos. When I felt I’d had my fill of both, I grabbed my headphones and set out for a short walk. Whilst out I enjoyed hearing about the Tugboat’s Tumultuous Texas Trip. I also grabbed the mail. With a slight sweat sprouting I sought the comfort of my AC and kept the podcast going. So many details I’d forgotten, I’m glad we captured those memories. I watched too much YouTube then tossed and turned until midnight before finally tasting the sweet relief of sleep. I don’t like this new sleep cycle I’ve stumbled into.
