Meeting Monday

Monday started at what is becoming a normal wakeup time, seven in the morning. The unusual part about this morning in particular was that I awoke in the guest room. I shook it off like Taylor Swift demands and found myself heading to the bathroom. I knocked out a fantastic shower, my first in a couple of days. I suppose I’ve been embracing the pandemic more and more. The shower really reset me and put me on the right path to start the day. The breakfast that followed was also very pleasant, despite being my normal selection of items. After cleaning up, I marched to work and arrived only minutes after eight. Seconds later all hell broke loose. Things started to feel very manic for me, it was a non-stop type of day. I was in meetings most of the morning and while listening to people drone on about God knows what I was frantically trying to send emails to entice people to do their portion of things so I could get my customers what they needed. It wasn’t pleasant. Big T called seconds into my thirty minute lunch hiatus and had a strange request. Actually he hung up on me when the answer to “Are you busy today?” was yes, extremely. Just fully hung up. I called him back and tried to work on his request but it fizzled away, likely when I asked Mother for the details he didn’t send me. Lunch had to go on though. I warmed a can of Campbell’s Chunky Potato and Bacon soup and a box of Stouffers Bistro Crustini Meatball and Mozzerella panini. I essentially chugged it and hustled back up for the next round of meetings. I had twenty minutes between calls later in the day and used it productively. I was done the formal portion of the agenda shortly after four and then I got to tackle the ridiculous mountain of email that flowed in while I was occupied. There were no wins in the email pile. I was getting intensely frustrated with the way things were going so in a fit of annoyance I powered down my computer at six. I was supposed to prepare stuffed peppers according to the meal board but I was feeling like I was lacking the drive to do it. Here is how I did last week on the meal board.

I decided to put some sausages in the air fryer. While those cooked I found some tots. I also pulled out a bag of baby spinach and steamed part of that on the stove. The tots took a long time but it was worth the wait. I sprinkled on some sriracha powder and Greek spice to jazz things up a hare. I portioned off half the food into the fridge and was done the meal completely shortly after seven. Next up was catching up on Twitter while trying to avoid politics and reviewing the gaggle of YouTube videos. After a fast paced, frustrating day of smashing my face into a cement wall I wanted a lay up of an evening.
