Quietly Productive

I am filling in the details for this day after the fact, several days after the fact…..in fact. I don’t recall much other than I spent long stretches on the phone. I knocked down some important milestones in my professional world. I had a smaller lunch which I supplemented with this expired strawberry Jello. Or to be honest, Great Value brand strawberry jelly mix. The picture on the box was of Jello so I’m not scared that I consumed some kind of jam making additive by mistake. It was best before some date in 2017 so it never really set properly and could be consumed. If you know me, you know that I’ve had several failures in making Jello in the past. I suspect that they were for a similar reason, that being that I used expired product. I did manage to pick up some fresh boxes this week in the grocing so we’ll put that to the test as soon as the mold is empty. I was really hoping to de-mold it and show off the cool detail of this vintage mold. Hopefully it’s just the age of the gelatin and not my ineptitude for making one of the simplest household treats. In terms of the rest of the day, not much else of note happened. I got caught up finally in Microsoft Solitaire Collection in terms of the daily challenges. I polished off a number of big September tasks for work and I finished my book. All in all it was a quietly productive day.
