Orange Shirt Day

Morning started odd here and I won’t share any more detail than that. The shower was very hot and refreshing though. I had to make a rare trip to the dryer to fetch some clean clothes. Specifically I needed my orange shirt. Today is a new celebration to commemorate the closing of residential schools in Canada. The last one closed in 1996 so it was probably overdue for such recognition but I’m not running the country so it is what it is. While I was at it, I pulled all the clothes out and folded them while my breakfast samidges were cooling. My bedding all got stuffed in the laundry after this too, as if I just remembered I had the ability to launder things. I crushed a few tasks at the start of the workday then settled in for a pair of two hour long calls. This was capped off by another pair of calls to close out the day. I managed to eat some Our Finest brand pad thai for lunch between calls. I ate it with chopsticks. Why is that relevant? Because for dinner I made three packages of Mr Noodle. Another dish that I eat with chopsticks. What a conundrum! I had to quickly wash my stainless steel sticks for the next round. The pile of “ramen” was tasty and filling. I supplemented it with a fist full of marshmallows. That may have been the highlight of the day. After eating I found my clean bed and watched YouTube until nearly ten before passing out completely.
