Mundane, eh
The day started like soooo many others. Same morning routine. Same breakfast. Same trudge to the home office. The difference is that I used the last of the eggs. And it is Farm Show week. The first year that I wasn’t around all for any of the planning, planting, maintenance, etc. And the show has gone virtual. Everybody gets a pass! That’s later in the week though. The morning featured the regular Monday meeting and time spent cleaning up last week and setting up things for the upcoming week. Lunch was just a can of soup while I was on the phone. I barely stopped to take down the last can of soup in the house. The afternoon was continuous short calls until the last hour which was spent scrambling to get a key file and details out to customers for my upcoming field tour in Manitoba. It all went by very quick. Dinner was accompanied by a cocktail to cap a very long workday. I hit double digits for the first time in a long time. The rationale I fed myself as an appetizer to a lovely four meat oven pizza meal was that I should be getting groceries in the morning before work so I could afford to use up some mix. It was a tasty meal overall. The rest of the evening was quite protracted and spent watching YouTube videos and fooling around on social media. Essentially mindless disengagement from reality. I was in bed early and hoping for a long sleep.
