Sacrificed Saturday

It was a later start on this Saturday. There was rain in the forecast so I didn’t have anything pressing to do, not even to water the flowers. I slept until almost eight bells then I grabbed my Mini and watched some stuff for another hour or so before finally rolling out of bed. I did decide to start my day by throwing everything remotely dirty into the wash for the weekly load. I was cramped for space when I was organizing things before the load went in so I decided to dump the little jug I bought early in the pandemic to hoard into the big gulp. The spout on the little fella can sort of roll up and fit inside the top spout of the larger unit. It’s almost as if they were meant for this. It was a careful process and a couple of drips ended up on the dryer so I dumped some water on them and used it to wash the top of the washer and the dryer. My washer is nearly due for a good deep clean. Do other people wash their washing machine? I figure I should, it’s where I’m washing my clothes, should try to keep it clean. I wash the sink nearly everyday, my food goes in there. Am I the only one that thinks of these things?

Once the laundry was started all semblence of productivity went out the window and I gave up on the day. I did get the clothes dried but they are sitting down there still. There was no formal breakfast this day. But I did ingest a couple of pizza buns and a drumstick towards noon. There was another similar meal later in the day and some chips after that. Nothing approaching healthy at all. It was a true cheat day, first big one in a couple of weeks. I cheated myself more than anything because this was the only day of good weather for the entire weekend. The rest of it is going to be lousy with rain, which isn’t a bad thing. It will finally give me an idea what is left of my lawn. So I rolled around my basement lair watching weird movies all afternoon and evening. I lined up a handful and worked my way through them. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
