Gonzo Tuesday

Today I slept in a bit before going down to make my breakfast. I did so in the clothes I slept in. Then I took those clothes down into the basement and tucked myself under a fur blanket and turned on Netflix. That was the day. I don’t recall everything I watched but ones that stand out are the end of Big Mouth season four. The dark comedy, I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore. It was very strange and dark but I found myself really enjoying it. I would classify it as a hidden gem. And speaking of gems, I finally watched Uncut Gems. After the first half hour or so I could feel myself being stressed and uncomfortable. That resolved into frustration for the remainder of the film. It was expressed in the film several times but the lead character was completely annoying and obnoxious. I think that “New York” frame of mind and style of communication are what make me uncomfortable. I won’t say much more on the topic because I don’t want to spoil anything for those who haven’t seen the film. I tried to watch the Office (British) but couldn’t get through even half of the first episode. It was too obnoxious and painful. I know the last movie I watched was Barely Lethal. It was not good. I thought because Samuel L Jackson was in it that it was going to be better, but I was wrong. For every hidden gem you find there are bound to be some stinkers. It was a day spent completely wasted. I ordered some Pizza Pizza early afternoon and picked away at it for the most of the afternoon. There was no supper, I didn’t really earn supper. It was a day thrown away, a dangerous day.
